WALTHAM, Mass. – There's winning on the diamond, and there's winning in the classroom. After posting the winningest season in Bentley baseball history, the 2025 Falcons received the Team Academic Excellence Award, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced Wednesday. In order to qualify, teams must have a minimum 3.00 GPA for the academic year.
ABCA Release
The 2025 Bentley squad posted a record of 33-15, becoming the first team in program history to reach 30 wins in a season. That mark comes one year after the 2024 team set a program record with 29 wins.
Bentley dominated Northeast-10 awards this past spring.
Mike Hill was named the conference's Coach of the Year. For the NE10 Northeast Division,
Brendan Sencaj earned Player of the Year,
Pat Heber was the Pitcher of the Year, and

Sencaj earned an Academic All-America nod from College Sports Communicators (CSC), becoming the first Bentley baseball player since 1996 to earn the honor (Brian Hayes). He and Heber earned All-Region honors from ABCA, D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
That Bentley pair, along with
Keegan Antelman,
Ryan Glupe, and
Nick Pappas earned Academic All-District honors from CSC in 2025.
