WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley and Holy Cross renew their rivalry this weekend with a home and home series. The series gets underway on Friday night in Worcester and shifts to Waltham and Bentley Arena on Saturday night.
Game Notes
Friday's game, starting at 7:00 pm, will also be on NESN+. Saturday's Halloween game at Bentley Arena begins at 6:00 pm. Both games will be on FloHockey as usual.
The Falcons (3-3, 2-0 AHA) swept their first Atlantic Hockey games of the season last weekend with 5-0 and 5-1 wins at home over Robert Morris. On the strength of those wins, goaltender
Lukas Swedin and defenseman
Alec Leonard both earned weekly awards from Atlantic Hockey.
Another player who made a big impact last weekend was sophomore forward
Jan Gaspar. A native of Prague, Gaspar scored his first three NCAA goals over the two contests, including the game-winner each night. Gaspar missed most of his freshman season and didn't debut until early February.
Senior forward
Jimmy Doyle has gotten his 2025-26 season off to a strong start. He has five points in six games after he missed almost all of his junior year.
Holy Cross (3-5, 1-3 AHA) has already played four conference contests. They were swept at home by Army on October 17-18 and split a home and home series with Sacred Heart last weekend. They beat the Pioneers at home 3-1 and lost on the road 4-3. Their non-conference schedule featured series splits against both Maine and Arizona State.
This weekend marks the 95
th and 96
th all-time meetings between the two programs, who first met in the 1981-82 season. Though Holy Cross leads the series (48-35-11), recent history has favored Bentley.
Bentley is 6-3-1 in the last 10 meetings, including a 4-1-1 record last season that featured a sweep in the AHA semifinals.
After this weekend, the Falcons host RIT for a series at Bentley Arena on November 7-8.
