WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University Men's Soccer welcomed more than 150 alumni back to campus on September 26 for Alumni Day, bringing together former players from nearly six decades of program history.

The event honored the championship teams of the 1990s, including the squads that captured three consecutive Northeast 10 Conference titles from 1992-94 under legendary head coach Peter Simonini. 

Alumni traveled from across the United States and around the world, including Europe and South America, to reconnect with former teammates, coaches, and friends.  For some, it was their first trip back to Bentley in more than 30 years.

"Thank you to all of the alums who joined our reunion this past weekend," said Rick Miller '80, a Bentley Hall of Famer and former men's soccer standout who helped organize the event. "Together we celebrated records but, more importantly, renewed friendships with teammates across six decades. A special thanks to our captains who helped spread the word. As Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams shared, we need to do more of this, and with our captains' help, we will."

Stories were shared, friendships were renewed, and former teammates picked up right where they left off.

Throughout the day, Williams emphasized a simple message: keep coming back. 

Head Coach Gary Crompton reinforced that message, encouraging alumni to continue showing up for one another and for the program.

The impact of the day spoke for itself.  Alumni who had not returned to campus in decades instantly reconnected, and many left asking a simple question:

"How can I help move the program forward?"

"What I witnessed was one of the most powerful alumni engagements I've experienced during my 30 years at Bentley," said Associate Athletics Director Kevin Loftus. "You could see firsthand the power of we. When alumni, athletics, and advancement are aligned around a shared vision, the energy is contagious."

More than a reunion, Alumni Day demonstrated the lasting impact Bentley Soccer has had on generations of Falcons and the strength of a community committed to its future.

The event reflected Bentley Athletics' mission that We Unlock Potential through lifelong relationships, meaningful engagement, and a shared commitment to future generations of student-athletes.
