Guard, Bentley College, 1971-75
During his four-year career, led Bentley to a 91-14 record and four NCAA tournament berths … finished career as Bentley’s all-time leading scorer (1,767) and playmaker (playmaker) … both records have since been broken … never missed a game due to injury … still owns school record for career field goals made (717) and assists in a game (17, done twice) … career .531 field goal percentage is best ever by a Bentley guard … was a third-round draft pick of Milwaukee Bucks (was team’s last cut) and fourth-round pick of Indiana Pacers … had a shooting range well beyond where the three-point line is today … Charter member of the Bentley College Athletic Hall of Fame.
 
1971-72 (Fr):  Averaged 12.0 ppg on a 26-2 team
 
1972-73 (So):  Averaged 15.4 ppg on a 24-3 team, and set a school record (since broken) with 217 assists.
 
1973-74 (Jr):  Earned All-America honors (NABC Div. II first team) after averaging 19.7 points on an 18-7 team … also dished out 6.4 assists a game … team MVP.
 
1974-75 (Sr):  Was once again selected as a Division II All-America (NABC Div. II first team) after averaging 20.8 ppg on a 23-2 team … set school records (since broken) for points (520) and field goals (216).
 
Coaching Career
Bentley College, 1977-78:  Assistant Coach under Al Shields
 
Bentley College, 1978-84:  Head Coach … 91-70 (.565) in six years … Team was ranked #1 in Division II in early February, 1979 … two NCAA tournament berths
 
University of Iowa, 1984-86:  Assistant Coach under George Raveling
 
University of Southern California:  Assistant Coach under George Raveling
 
Northern Illinois University, 1991-2000:  Head Coach … 10 year record of 117-138 … NCAA tournament and Mid-Continent Conference champions in 1995.
