Hall of Fame
Before the 1993 season, Bentley men’s lacrosse was elevated from club to varsity status. One of the early standouts for the Falcons was Sean Rotermund, who played on the first four varsity teams and finished his career as Bentley’s all-time leading scorer.
Bentley was a Northeast-10 power during each of Sean’s four seasons in uniform with a 41-14 overall record including 20-0 against conference opponents, including wins in each of the first two NE10 championship games. The Falcons faced Quinnipiac each year, prevailing 12 to 7 in 1995 and 10 to 7 the following year. There were also three appearances in the ECAC Division III playoffs.
Sean owns three of the top ten scoring seasons in program history with 71 points as a sophomore and a team-leading 68 each of the following two years. He’s the only men’s lacrosse player in Falcon history with three seasons of at least 45 goals.
On April 11, 1994, Rotermund scored nine times against Merrimack in a 26-15 win, a record that still stands today.
Not surprising given his offensive exploits, the Madison, Connecticut product earned first-team All-Northeast-10 honors three times during his career.
