Scott Yavarow was an iron-man for Bentley during his career, doing so in two sports. He started 72 of 73 games as a soccer defender from 1998-2001, and was in the lineup for every lacrosse match the Falcons played from 1999-2002.
Scott twice received Division II All-America honors in lacrosse, earning first-team accolades from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association in 2002 and second-team honors the previous spring. He was a three-time AII-Northeast-10 selection (including a first-team pick in both 2001 and 2002), the third player in the program's history to reach the 200-point milestone, and the first Falcon to be drafted by a Major League Lacrosse team (Boston Cannons). Scott’s soccer career included a pair of All-Conference awards, including first team in 1999.
Scott, a two-year team captain in lacrosse and the captain of the 2001 Bentley soccer team, received All-New England honors in lacrosse twice. He set a school record, since broken, for ground balls as a senior with 111 and his 51 assists was also a school record at the time.
Scott remains in the top three in Bentley lacrosse history in points (207) and assists (116), and his 333 career ground balls remains the most in program history.
A Billerica native, Scott received a master’s degree in Elementary Education and a Special Ed Certificate from Rivier College.
