Hall of Fame
One of the all-time great post players in the history of Bentley men’s basketball program, Mark Argust was an indelible force for the Falcons from 1997 until 2001.
Mark finished his career with 1,464 points, a total that ranked ninth in program history at the time and is the fourth most by a Bentley post player in the last 40 seasons. One of the top offensive rebounders in Falcon history, Mark produced at least 14 points and six rebounds a game in each of his three seasons as a starter and his .606 career field goal percentage remains the second best ever by a Falcon.
Very few players in Bentley history could draw fouls like Mark. His 510 career free throw attempts ranks sixth in program history and is second most among forwards.
As a senior, Mark led the Northeast-10 Conference in field goal percentage for the second straight season while providing nearly 16 points and seven rebounds a game. Connecting at a .679 clip in conference play, he finished at .645 overall, breaking the school record of .636 and ranking fifth best nationally in Division II.
Mark collected numerous well-deserved honors that season, including All-Conference for the second straight year, second-team ECAC Division II North All-Star and second-team NABC All-Northeast Region.
The native of Allentown, Pennsylvania exemplified excellence, consistency, and leadership throughout his career.
