What an amazing career that Nicola Mancini Colucci authored while competing in diving for Bentley from 2012 to 2016.
Â
No one in the Northeast 10 could match her dominance off either the one-meter or three-meter boards. A multi-time record breaker, Nicola became the first woman in Bentley diving history to earn All-America honors, was a three-time NE10 Women’s Diver of the Year and claimed six conference championships in as many attempts.
Â
Success at Bentley came right away for the former Maine high school state champion. The first of her four All-America awards came as a freshman with an eighth-place finish in the one-meter at the NCAA’s. She was even better as a sophomore, placing fifth off the three-meter and seventh from the one-meter, with school records in both events. After injuries kept her on the sidelines as a junior, she returned to form as a senior, breaking her own record in the three-meter at the nationals. Her 471.30 was good for sixth place.

Bentley’s 2016 outstanding female senior athlete also made her mark in the classroom, earning the NE10 Sport Excellence Award in women’s swimming and diving.
