Teresa (Kittredge) Bendtsen defined student-athlete, excelling in both cross country and track while maintaining a 3.2 grade point average as a finance major.
 
"Teresa was a great runner who exemplified the student-athlete to the fullest. She is a great leader and one of the nicest people I'd ever met," said her former coach Barry Harwick in advance of her 1995 induction. "The women's program was just getting started when she was here and her success was crucial for the program and for her teammates."
 
As a senior, Teresa, sister of former Bentley track standout Dave Kittredge '84, was the recipient of the Edward J. Powers Scholar Athlete Award, which is presented annually by the college to the athlete who best combines success on the playing field with academic excellence. She was also elected to the prestigious Falcon Society.
 
Teresa earned four MVP awards during her career, three in cross country and one in track (1986). In the former sport, she placed in the top three in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships each of her last three years, winning the title in 1985. She also earned All-New England honors annually from 1985-1987.
 
Teresa made three trips to the NCAA Division II Indoor Track Championships, qualifying in 1985, 1986 and 1988. She concluded her career with four school records, including the 1 500 meter and distance medley relay indoor records and both indoor and outdoor in the 3,000 meters.
 
She was not only a good runner, but also a good leader as was evident being elected captain of cross country in 1986 and 1987 and of track in 1987 and 1988.
 
"Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a great honor because I will always remember Bentley and now Bentley will always remember me," said Teresa.
 
Her husband, Todd, was also a member of the Falcon track team.
