Hall of Fame
During the 1980-81 season, David Langley and Joe Maguire led the Bentley College varsity hockey team to a sensational 20-1 record and its second· consecutive ECAC Division Ill title. A dozen years later, Dave joined his fellow co-captain and close friend, a 1988 inductee in the Bentley Athletic Hall of Fame.

Dave and Joe both arrived at Bentley in the fall of 1977, just in time for the Falcons' first varsity hockey season. Dave led that inaugural team in scoring, netting 17 goals and a like number of assists for 34 points. The 5'7" left winger scored four times in a 9-7 win at Ouinnipiac and set up four goals in a 9-5 win over Nasson.
After a 19-point season as a sophomore, Dave set a school record with 19 goals as a junior, along with 16 assists for 35 points.

The Marian High School product saved his best for last that winter, netting his only hat trick of the season March 1 to give the Falcons a 7-6 overtime win over Rochester Institute of Technology in the championship game of the ECAC Division Ill playoffs.

Dave, who also had an assist in the game, completed his hat trick at 3:58 of overtime when he deflected in a slap shot by Harry See on a power play.

Bentley was virtually perfect the next season, with the only blemish on the record a 6-5 overtime loss at Saint Anselm. Dave, voted second-team AII-ECAC Division Ill, had 11 goals and 14 assists to finish his career with 56-57-113. His 100th point came during an 8-3 win over Wesleyan in which he had three goals and an assist.

At the time of his induction, the Framingham native ranked fourth overall on the Falcons' all-time scoring list, with both his 56 goals and 57 assists good for third best in program history.
