Not many collegiate athletes compete in multiple sports, but Stan DeMartinis is a member of that exclusive club, having played three seasons of baseball and two of football for the Bentley Falcons.

A power-hitting first baseman for Bentley from 1994-96, Stan owns the second best slugging percentage (.668) in program history with 54 percent of his 118 career hits going for extra bases. His production climbed each season, peaking with a .355/.483/.786 slash line, 14 home runs and 49 RBI as a senior.

In addition to ranking second in slugging, Stan is also third on Bentley’s all-time list in home runs with 32 and has the seventh most RBI with 118. And he achieved those impressive numbers in just 95 career games.

Honors for the Lynnfield native and St. John's Prep alumnus included two-time second-team All-Northeast-10 and both ABCA second-team All-Region and ECAC Division II North All-Star in 1996.

Stan also played football for Bentley during the 1991 and 1994 seasons, totaling 61 tackles and seven tackles for losses.

These days, as the President and Founder of Flynn Fitness, Stan leads a team of skilled professionals who develop and operate Planet Fitness franchises in the metro Atlanta and Boston markets.

His son, also named Stan, is following in his dad’s footsteps as a standout on the Bentley baseball team.
