Colleen Judge followed in the footsteps of fellow inductee Sue Murphy and was named Bentley’s Outstanding Female Senior Athlete in 1995. Colleen was a two-sport star in volleyball and track and field. Since her high school days at Dennis-Yarmouth High School on Cape Cod, Colleen has been dominating competition on the court and on the track, and she still owned school records at DYHS at the time of her 2002 induction.

Colleen chose to grace the campus of Bentley for its challenging and reputable athletic and academic programs. She also felt that the culture of Bentley was a good fit for her. Without a doubt, she made the correct choice.

At the time of her induction, Colleen was ninth on the all-time Bentley career list in digs She was a two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All–Northeast Region selection. She held the Bentley record for digs in a match with 36, which she tallied against Springfield in 1994, until 2007. As junior and again as a senior co-captain, she led the team in kills and digs.

“Colleen was a tremendous athlete. She was a great jumper and could really nail the ball,” remembered Hoffman in advance of Colleen’s induction.

In four years on the track team, she put her claim on three school records that have since been broken. Those were in the indoor 200 meters (26:41), the outdoor 200 meters (25.8), and the 4X400 relay. She still ranks very high on Bentley’s all-time lists in the 55 and 100 meter dashes. She was named team captain as well.

Colleen holds a master’s degree in taxation from Northeastern University. Her post-Bentley career has included completing multiple marathons, including qualifying and completing the Boston Marathon.
